Welcome!History is all around us; in the streets we effortlessly walk to work, the books we read, the music we hear. But what I have learned thus far is that true history lies within the people that surround us, and the only way to understand history is through their stories.
I myself have a history. I grew up in suburban Chicago, broke my left wrist twice, participated in every sport imaginable, and enrolled in Marquette University in the fall of 2010. Now a Junior, I have finally realized what I need to do to make my mark. My late father always told me "you don't know anyone until you've heard their story." Those words always resonated with me, and since then I have made it my goal to find and share peoples' stories as a writer. With weekly posts I hope to showcase not only my writing but my improvement throughout the course of my journalism career. As a student I see this as a creative process in which all feedback is warmly welcomed. Please feel free to contact me via email with any comments, questions or concerns. |
